    Los Angeles County: common questions

Does Keystone Connect work everywhere in Los Angeles County?

Yes. We cover all 88 incorporated cities in Los Angeles County and its unincorporated communities and neighborhoods, grouped into 10 districts. Antelope Valley and Catalina Island are outlying, so lining up walkthroughs can take a little longer there.

Who issues building permits in Los Angeles County?

Each incorporated city issues its own permits, either directly or through an agency it contracts plan review to. Homes in unincorporated areas are permitted by LA County Public Works, Building & Safety. Neighborhoods inside the City of Los Angeles, like Van Nuys, Sherman Oaks and Pacific Palisades, go through LADBS.

What does a renovation cost in Los Angeles County?

On average, Los Angeles County prices run same as la county. A mid-size kitchen remodel typically lands around $35k–$65k, a full bathroom $18k–$38k, and a garage-conversion ADU $90k–$180k. These are planning ranges, not quotes.

What does Keystone Connect charge homeowners?

Nothing. We introduce two or three licensed, insured builders, set up the walkthroughs, lay the bids out side by side and stay with you through the build. You pay only the builder you hire.

Planning a project in Los Angeles County?

Tell us the scope and the address. We'll line up builders who already work there.
