Renovation prices in San Diego County: 2026 ranges

From Oceanside and Carlsbad down to Chula Vista, and east to El Cajon and Ramona. Coastal cities price at a premium; East County and South Bay run closer to Inland Empire rates.

What moves prices here: coastal-zone review, hillside lots in North County, and a tight trade-labor market.

How are these county cost ranges calculated?

Each project type starts from a 2026 Los Angeles County baseline, adjusted by a county multiplier for local labor, permitting and site conditions. City pages apply their own multiplier. Planning estimates, not quotes.
